Alrighty!
I moved to Mexico City (again) almost a month ago.
I'd complain about how I dislike living where I am right now, but you're here to see food, right?
A day after I got here, two of my friends from Tijuana and I went to a place called La buena tierra (The good earth).
Their menu looked awesome and even though it seemed very veggie friendly, it wasn't vegan friendly at all : (
I ordered a juice (the Einstein) and thought I could maybe get a pita sandwich veganized.
The waitress looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if they could leave out the chipotle dressing and sub hummus for cheese in a f*cking pita sandwich.
She didn't get at all what I was asking for, so she suggested bringing some pita, pita with za'atar and hummus (better than nothing!).
Juice menu
Einstein: Celery, beet, pineapple, orange and ginkgo biloba juice (so good!)
Don't get me wrong, I love hummus, but I bought a tub and some pita bread that week and I didn't want to eat more at a restaurant!
Anyway, it may look pretty in these pictures, but it wasn't good.
It was way too sour. I kind of fixed it with a little avocado-garlic oil, salt and pepper, hmm : )
I have a huge food porn backlog, so expect more posts : )!
